| Penquins are looking good!!! Well, except last night against the Rangers. I can not wait until they are a full healthy team again. _________________

| | Montreal looks really good, and I love Carey Price-he could be really good in a couple years. Pittsburgh, Montreal, New Jersey are the best, so a matchup between any of those should be pretty good. |

| Hey wishing for wisdom do you know what NHL.com is? try looking there and I'm sure you will find the answer. As far as the east goes who really cares because every REAL hockey fan knows the Stanley Cup champ is coming out of the better Conference the West. The only two teams I would even root for in the east would be the Caps if they make it or the Pens besides that the east is lame and boring unless you like low scoring trap games.
By the way wishing for wisdom I see you switched from gay avatars to nothing but canadian teams with want to be witty staetements, nice touch

| The East is boring..hmmmmm. The top 2 point leaders are in the East. I don't think that is boring at all. The West is surely the stronger conference but anything can happen in the playoffs...and I think something surprising will. _________________

Try again Suzy Q the top point getters are in the West here is the link to the standings http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=StandingsPage&type=CON which shows the Wings and Sharks ahead of the Pens (the best team in the East) by 11 points and 6 points which is 5 games and a tie for the Wings and 3 games for the Sharks better than the east's best team. Yes anything can happen in the playoffs but when it comes to East VS. West for the Cup there will be no surprise as the west is far surperior in almost evry matchup possible. Nice try though Suzy.
Just to be clear when I say boring I mean teams that play a defensive trap and colg everything up which IMHO is prevelant in the East more than the West hence the more exciting games (not all there were some good eatern ones also) IMHO were in the West this year. |

| | I just noticed you meant players who have the points lead. At any rate the reason they have more points is the play against more Eastern teams than Western and A.O. and Malkin are freaks of nature (don't you love Russian players) and could score on just about anyone East or West and lets reflect (which I would rather not in the Caps case because I have watched and rooted for them for the better part of two decades) Yeah they have the leading goal scorer and points getter but they are still not in the playoffs and Malkin has a very strong supporting cast including one of, if not the best set up man in hockey in Crosby. So while they do have some good players and points getters they still don't have better over all teams than some teams in the West and remember were talking about my two favorite Eastern Conference teams here. Points IMHO are good individual stats but the points in the win lose or tie columns is what it comes down too and really matters. |
